I suspect many runners and many bloggers who run have read or are meaning to read Born to Run by christopher mcdougall.its awesome. Without giving out the main punchline its a story of runners and ultramarathoners and how the human being is meant to run.
I've only run 2x since last Sunday. With 1x being 5 minutes this am through a wind advisory (I'm headed out in a few for todays run). To be frank I don't know what I used to do before running. Not running makes me anxious and nervous and not me. The me I know runs. And runs often at that. I ran about 4.6m on Thanksgiving, under a 10min pace. How has that pace suddenly become 'pace'? Was it just breaking the barrier that was tough?
I'm headed to London for work this week. Looking fwd to running Hyde Park :)
Hope to sneak a run in tomorrow too. 3x a week seems paltry! Want to be up to pace and speed for the NYC half seeing as the Manhattan one won't work schedule wise for me!
