Cheers from London! Another running city! Right? Wrong, dead wrong in fact- at least for me.
I'm staying in central London, SW1 to be more precise- parks galore! You say! Rubbish! Well quite rubbish indeed! It stays dark until 745 am and while I wouldn't call the gloomy dreary rain filled days 'light' there is a contrast until about 4 pm. Then pitch black again. I suppose if I left at 730am and ran until 8 I would only be 30 min late to the office, however given the fact that I'm traveling FOR business I'm not sure how that would go.
The gym at my hotel is in the basement. The treadmill is old and if not old, cheap. Yesterday I ran about 3m (everything is in km so I'm perpetually confused) alternating between 5.2mph (per my nifty math this am) and 6.2mph. Then I did another 10-20 min of weights, squats etc. Today I did 10 min on what I refer to as the horse machine and then 6 rounds of 2min 'sprintsk at 8 min miles (7 mph). There's not a lot of shock absorption thoigh! Then 15 min of abs, back, squats etc. Not terrible.
I just scarfed samosas and naan. The most delicious samosas ever.
Fin.
